Dr. Eric Dinenberg, MD, MPH

Robert Eric Dinenberg, MD, MPH is a physician dedicated to non-medicinal strategies for pain management, with an emphasis on utilizing mindfulness techniques for patients and providers. His one-on-one or group sessions are ideal for anyone experiencing anxiety, stress, addiction, burnout, or anger. If and when necessary, Dr. Dinenberg will complement his mindfulness programs with appropriate medication.

He designed and implemented a mindfulness-based resiliency program for healthcare providers at San Mateo Medical Center, a peak performance mindfulness program for leaders at National University, and a holistic well-being mindfulness program for veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder at the Palo Alto War Related Illness and Injury Study Center.

Education

Dr. Dinenberg graduated Medical College of Pennsylvania and Hahnemann University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, completed his Occupational and Environmental Medicine residency at University of California at San Francisco, and his Masters of Public Health at University of California at Berkeley.

Publications

Dr. Dinenberg has published articles in industry journals in the field of health protection and health promotion, has written a book chapter on the health impact of lifestyle and health promotion in Health Promotion in the Workplace, 4th ed., and a book chapter on disability management and prevention in Current Occupational & Environmental Medicine, 5th ed.  Dr. Dinenberg is the author of Mindfulness and Peak Performance: Touch the Ground, Touch the Sky.
